Position Summary Under limited supervision, this position provides training, mentoring, facilitation, process data analysis, and coaching to aid the development of Program Specialists and Senior Program Specialists, along with personnel at all levels of the organization in CAP activities/projects.
Design, develop, lead, support and assist process owners with implementation of cause evaluations that align with Grant PUD’s key objectives and core mission.
Identify business practice and process deficiencies which do not align with Grant PUD’s key objectives and core mission.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Partner with leadership staff in the development of annual process improvement activity plans.
Lead corrective action campaigns, directed assessments, and human performance improvement tasks using approved methods and change management principles.
Oversee the development of timely data to organizational leaders and frontline staff including support for development and deployment of applicable performance metrics within the department.
Apply problem identification and resolution concepts and approaches.
Assist with the certain of corrective actions.
Coaching leadership on best practices to deploy corrective actions developed to address specific issues.
Apply change management concepts and strategies for successful problem resolution.
Coach and mentor Program Specialist and Senior Program Specialist as well as leadership staff on Corrective Action Program methodologies and techniques to improve process implementation throughout the organization.
Develop reports, recommendations, and communicates plans via written and oral presentations to senior leadership and or process owners.
Identify and resolve critical issues and keeps senior leadership abreast of project status.
Lead and direct cause evaluations while mentoring Senior Program Specialist and Program Specialist.
Demonstrates commitment to Grant PUD’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
The incumbent should be familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a way that aligns with these expectations.
Understands and adheres to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws, regulations, security guidelines, Grant PUD policies and procedures.
Actively participates in all aspects of our safety program, including but not limited to: • Following all safety policies and procedures.
• Alerting supervisors and coworkers to unsafe or hazardous working conditions.
• Reporting any safety incidents or close calls within 24 hours to supervisor.
• Accepting feedback from supervisors and coworkers regarding your personal safety performance.
• Supporting the Contractor Management Program.
Education and Experience Required 5+ years of experience in applying established, industry accepted Corrective Action Program principles.
5+ years of applied experience in problem identification and resolution methodologies.
3 years of experience in applying established, industry accepted change management principles.
Preferred 7+ years of experience in applying established, industry accepted Corrective Action Program principles.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, business management, technology, or equivalent education.
3-5 years general work experience where critical thinking and process improvement skills are practiced.
5+ years electric utility or related experience.
License and Certification Required A valid state driver’s license with no restrictions is required.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Grant PUD's Strategic Plan, policies, and procedures; financial/budgeting reporting; electric utilities including electric transmission and distribution systems and generation; change management, strategic planning, human performance improvement, quality improvement, quality planning, system theory, and business strategy development; consulting, coaching, training, and facilitating methods used during process improvements; Collective Bargaining Agreement rules and application.
Physical Requirements Position may be eligible for hybrid work arrangement: Yes No Per Grant County PUD policy all employees are required to work at their designated headquarters at least two days per week.
Majority of work is performed in a standard office setting.
Typical shift of employees in this position: 8 hours 9 hours 10 hours 12 hours *For a full list of requirements, the applicant/incumbent should refer to the Physical Capacity Evaluation (PCE).
