The Laboratory Supervisor manages quality control laboratory methods, instrumentation, and equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
-Completes advanced troubleshooting on analytical instrumentation; BET, pycnometry, TGA, TXRF, and particle size analysis.
-Acquires instrumentation and facilitates the roll out of new analytical methods.
-Challenges analytical methods to ensure safety and effectiveness.
-Develops and tracks KPIs for laboratory systems.
-Manages instrumentation vendor relationships.
-Coordinates instrumentation service visits, maintenance, and calibrations.
-Maintains records of instrumentation service, maintenance, and calibrations.
-Formulates strategy for replacing instrumentation reaching end of life.
-Write, review, and revise SOPs as needed.
-Supports the manufacturing schedule by managing laboratory resources.
-Develops and delivers advanced training materials.
-Supports product and process improvement projects.
-Develops laboratory systems and reviews and challenges existing systems.
-Collaborates cross functionally on laboratory issues.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
-10+ years of analytical laboratory experience.
-5+ years of managing laboratory instrumentation experience.
-Available to assist with instrumentation troubleshooting outside of standard business hours.
-Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
-Strong attention to detail and organization.
-Strong team player who effectively collaborates with internal departments.
OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:
-Advanced chemistry, material science, or applicable degree.
-Knowledge of automotive MSA methodologies.

The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $115,000.
All positions come with a company bonus and stock options.
The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
