87 per hour REPORTS TO: Store Manager LOCATION: Moses Lake, WA The Image Associate position is typically utilized at high traffic convenience stores where Customer Service Associates are almost entirely occupied with their customer service, cashiering, and food services tasks.
While this position is responsible for performing customer service and janitorial tasks, it is distinguished by the higher-level maintenance functions it performs around the surrounding grounds, exterior, and interior of assigned location.
Essential Functions Customer Service: Arrives at assigned work location displaying a positive attitude, wearing company approved uniforms, and ready to respond to customers in a prompt and professional manner.
Greets customers, provides assistance and direction, and answers questions using the highest standard of customer service.
Provides additional assistance to handicapped, disabled, elderly persons, and/or other persons requiring extra help.
Janitorial / Store Image: Routinely restocks, fronts, and faces retail items to ensure shelves are adequately stocked and visually appealing to customers.
Cleans and organizes the interior of the store, including but not limited to, floors, shelves, counters, windows, coolers, freezers, etc.
Cleans bathrooms on a routine basis, ensuring all equipment is working properly and supplies are stocked and readily available.
Cleans and maintains the exterior of the store, including but not limited to, collecting trash and other debris, emptying trash containers and ashtrays, spraying-off and/or pressure washing sidewalks, parking lots, building exterior, removing oil spots, etc.
Thoroughly cleans fuel dispensers and surrounding areas to ensure all surfaces are free of residue and debris.
Maintains any amenities that may be available at the store, e.
g.
, window washers, towel dispensers, air compressors, etc.
Repair and Maintenance: Ensure sidewalks and parking areas are free of litter and debris, pressuring washing and applying chemical treatments as necessary to keep them as clean as possible.
Responsible for monitoring fuel dispensers, notifying Store Manager and/or Pump Technician when they are out of order and/or require repair.
Replaces all interior and exterior lights as needed, including fueling areas, signage, etc.
Maintains the grounds in accordance with the seasonal fluctuations; operates rototillers, lawn mowers (riding and/or hand), weed eaters, hedge trimmers, etc.
; removes weeds; snow removal and plowing as necessary.
Evaluates and notifies larger repair and maintenance issues and promptly reports to Shift Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager, and/or Store Manager.
May coordinate larger repair and maintenance needs with third party vendors in coordination with superiors.
Adheres to all established safety standards, ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures, TOSHA and OSHA regulations.
Uses all required safety precautions, including use of personal protection equipment.
Operates and maintains assigned vehicles in a safe and productive manner if applicable.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
Education, Training, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications): • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Twenty-four (24) months of maintenance experience and demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position.
• Must have knowledge of yard maintenance machinery with the ability to operate items accordingly.
• Must have working knowledge of various hand and power tools and related safety precautions.
• Must have good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to provide superior customer service on a consistent basis.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with coworkers and the general public.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and a variety of shifts when needed.
• Must be willing and able to pass drug and alcohol tests when required.
• Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License and be eligible for company insurance.
• Must submit to and successfully clear a thorough background check, including criminal history, employment, and reference verifications.
Physical Demands / Work Environment: • Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
• Ability to drive/sit for prolonged periods of time in adverse road conditions.
• Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat, stoop, reach, climb and/or crawl.
• Occasionally works near or around electricity.
• Frequently works near or around machines and their moving parts.
• Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
