Position Summary Under general supervision, this position coordinates and develops creative outreach and engagement materials designed to facilitate partnerships, improve employee dialogue, and enhance employee access to relevant information.
This position works closely with the OCM team to deliver communication events on various projects and initiatives requiring graphics or communications support.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinates and develops creative outreach and engagement materials designed to facilitate partnerships, improve employee dialogue, and enhance employee access to relevant information; executes various employee communication plans that ensure messages are dispersed to the workforce on numerous critical topics.
Develop communications for internal audiences within the organization, and/or talking points as needed utilizing a variety of methods including written, video, in-person, etc.
Work closely with OCM team to deliver communication events on various projects and initiatives requiring graphics or communications support.
Coordinate with technical experts, stakeholders and other project staff as needed for specific projects and initiatives.
Works on projects or utility-wide initiatives requiring close collaboration with Public Affairs to ensure consistent messaging to internal and external audiences.
Research design trends and tests new technologies to inform and ensure the efficacy of communications.
Coaches employees including leaders and executives on delivery of communication events.
Assists with the conceptual development, design, and execution of all internal-facing publications.
Demonstrate expertise with visual identity, branding, and typography.
Provide graphic support and design print or digital materials for a variety of internal-facing publications.
Provide ongoing internal website content and visual updates in accordance with Grant PUD branding.
Produce and distribute live web-based events.
Produce rough design concepts or storyboards.
Demonstrate proven aesthetic judgment, with excellent visual design and strong conceptual abilities.
Collaborate with other departments to develop content for internal employee newsletter.
Work with Public Affairs team to ensure consistent branding of internal communications.
Demonstrates commitment to Grant PUD’s mission, vision, values, strategic plan, and the Code of Excellence.
The incumbent should be familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a manner aligned with these expectations.
Understand and adhere to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws, regulations, security guidelines, Grant PUD policies & procedures.
Actively participate in all aspects of our safety program, including but not limited to: a.
Following all safety policies and procedures; b.
Alerting supervisors and coworkers to unsafe or hazardous working conditions; c.
Reporting any safety incidents or close calls within 24 hours to your supervisor; and d.
Accepting feedback from supervisors and coworkers regarding your own safety performance.
Education and Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in visual design, digital arts, public relations, communications or related field.
3-5 years’ experience in marketing and/or communications, as well as experience with web, print, or digital design with demonstrated results in implementing visual design strategies.
4 years’ additional relevant experience in lieu of education may be considered.
License and Certification Required A valid State driver’s license with restrictions.
Required Graphic design or communications related certification or training.
Prosci Change Management certification within six months of hire.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and simplify complex topics into simplified visualizations.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of corporate communication principles.
Ability to assist with large-scale projects without close supervision.
Understanding of Change Management concepts and GCPUD framework.
Ability to think creatively to increase employee awareness of key events and changes within the organization.
High proficiency and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, and Canva.
Extensive knowledge of printing and publication, including technical expertise in prepress and print production processes.
Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
Time management skills.
Ability to design and provide visual updates for internal training needs.
Working knowledge of current technologies and methods for developing innovative designs across web, print, and various digital media platforms.
Knowledge of camera operation (both video and still) and photo/video editing.
Ability to write clear, creative, and concise print copy.
Knowledge of proper English, grammar, spelling and punctuation is required.
Results-orientation with demonstrated initiative and the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
Knowledge of applicable intellectual property, image permissions, copyright and trademark requirements.
Flexible, patient and able to manage multiple tasks/priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Physical Requirements Position may be eligible for hybrid work arrangement: Yes No Per Grant County PUD policy all employees are required to work at their designated headquarters at least two days per week.
The majority of work is performed in a standard office setting.
Some field work that may require operation of a vehicle.
